Oliver Drake : was born in the town of Trewarthan in 1852, on the nearby mainland. After training under famous local 'keeper' Harold Harten, Drake was promoted to principal keeper of Fetch Rock in 1907.

Drake was well liked, according to those present at the 1912 inquest, and his career was drawing to a close at the time of the Fetch Rock incident. Both he, and other keepers, vanished on the night of April 29th, 1912.

Drakes body has never been found.
