About the Dark Fall Soundtrack CD by Jonathan Boakes: It's been a spooky delight to make this brand new, unheard, Dark Fall Soundtrack CD. I often get emails, asking for information about the Dark Fall theme (that lovely, lonely harp) or the Lights Out watery warblings. Most want to know where they can get hold of the full versions, so here they are! The Dark Fall theme is a brand new, full length version, and there are very revealing tracks dedicated to some of the ghosts...like Matilda Fly. Dark Fall fans, may remember that she was the failing actress, boo'ed and hissed off the stage, back in 1947. You'll find her soundtrack rather melancholy, or even sad. Poor Matilda. Other tracks, like Reading The Runes are new...and can be heard in the 'Classic Edition' of Dark Fall. It's been a wonderful experience to compile the CD, leaving me wondering why I never thought of it before!

About the Ghost Stories: This collection of ghost stories includes some of my absolute favourites. If you are unfamiliar with tales like A Warning to the Curious, or Man-sized in Marble, you will be surprised by how familiar they seem. The latter was the inspiration behind the effigy statue ghost, with his missing hands in The Lost Crown, and 'Warning' was the foundation idea behind the whole thing; a tale of treasure hunting and guardian spirits on England's coast. Bram Stoker's The Judges House is, quite probably, the scariest story I have ever read. It's a real page turner, and chiller. It had a profound effect on me, as a child, so it's influence can be seen throughout the stories I have written. I would strongly suggest popping the new Dark Fall Soundtrack into the player, and reading through the story, late one night. Do let me know how you get on...I will take great delight in hearing tales of sleepless nights, bumps in the night and creaking floorboards.

*Only Joking. The 'Pins & Needles' Limited Edition is styled to look 'hand crafted', by the writer and creator, Jonathan Boakes.

About: THE DARK FALL COMPANION is not just a walkthrough; As well as a new introduction, there are sections devoted to 'getting the most' from the game, and uncovering lesser known areas and features. The brand new 'GUIDE TO GHOST-HUNTING GOGGLE VIEWS' exposes all the haunted locations which can be revealed using the Ghost Hunting Goggles. Many of these views are hidden in obscure places, like a long lost secret. They are all worth finding, as each ghostly scene reveals something about the Dark Fall characters or the haunted location itself.

Also included in the companion is the full list of Timothy Pike's Hints; this friendly child ghost offers to help you through your adventure, with clues to almost all the puzzles. Many gamers may have missed these hints, in the past, but Tim's voice is included in the companion for you to hear...should you need an extra hint.

Speaking of hints, the Dark Fall Companion also contains a FULL, brand new, walkthrough. Don't get stuck on a puzzle, or lost in the dark. Let the walkthrough do the footwork, leaving you more time to Ghost-Hunt.

Lastly, 'Conversations with the Dead' reveals all the possible questions you can ask the ghosts (whether spoken, or via the Ouijaboard!). The ghosts have lots of secrets to disclose, lost in limbo, so make sure you know what to ask, and when.

The Dark Fall companion is a great asset to have, whether you are planning to re-visit the old hotel, or are about to explore for the very first time.

NEW: THE 'LIGHTS OUT' COMPANION
  • Introduction
  • Notes
  • Complete Walkthrough
  • About Fetch Rock Lighthouse
  • History of Fetch Rock Lighthouse
  • Mysteries of Fetch Rock
  • Flannan Isle: The real mystery behind Dark Fall II
  • The Telegram: Historical Document from 1900
  • The Ballad of Flannan Isle (inspiration behind the adventure)
This brand new 'Lights Out' Companion is a great addition to the game itself. Not only does it contain a complete walkthrough, there are chapters devoted to the Fetch Rock Mystery throughout the guide, which reveal a deeper layer to the story, and help keen Ghost-Hunters work out who, and why, certain ghosts hide within the historic lighthouse.

Lights Out is an indirect sequel to Dark Fall: The Journal, and is based upon an actual event; The Mystery of Flannan Isle, when three lighthouse keepers vanished without trace, at New Year 1900. Many theories have been put forward, over the passing decades, as to what fate may have befallen the poor souls that night, out at sea, but none can explain what really happened. Included with the companion are historical documents and facts, from the time, as well as Wilfred Gibson's haunting 'Ballad of Flannan Isle', which features in the game.

To add even more detail, the new companion also includes a 'history' or Fetch Rock, and explores some of the mysteries surrounding the place. Whether you are interstyed in ghosts, lighthouses, real-life mysteries or just want to play a spooky adventure, the 'LIGHTS OUT' COMPANION is the perfect partner to the game itself.
